Bellingham was subbed just after the hour mark, with his team 2-0 up after Arda Guler extended their lead thanks to an assist from the Englishman. It may be that coach Carlo Ancelotti simply decided against risking one of his key players, although it is unclear if he will miss any fixtures; Real play Atalanta in the Champions League in midweek.
Without the midfielder on the pitch, Kylian Mbappe added a third as Madrid return to winning ways, having lost 2-1 to Athletic Club on Wednesday. Bellingham remains a key player for Ancelotti and he will hope that he can recover swiftly.
Madrid need another win when they face Atalanta in the Champions League group stages. They are 24th in the league phase, the final position from which a club can qualify for the play-off round.
